Abstract

President, Pakistan Historical Society, Ms. Sadia Rashid has suffered bereavement due to the sad demise of her husband Barrister Rashid Munir Ahmad (23rd March 1943 – 7th February 2022). Mr. Rashid Munir had his early education at Ruthin School, South Wales, a premier institution; and was called to the Bar at Gray’s Inn, London. As a barrister, Mr. Rashid Munir soon made a mark and had achieved prominence in the legal fraternity, before he was married on 11th December 1970 to the daughter of Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said. By temperament, Mr. Rashid Munir was an unassuming man with very simple habits. As a husband, he always offered valuable suggestions but preferred staying in the background. The only office he was persuaded to assume was Director, Hamdard School of Law which, due to his expertise and experience as a Barrister at Law, he discharged with vision and responsibility
