Swat, district of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa, Pakistan, is not only known for its beautiful landscapes but also for its history and culture. Swat has seven Tehsils including Tehsil Kabal, the Nikpi Khail area. In 1915, the Yusufzi of Swat nominated Sayyid Abdul Jabbar Shah as their ruler in Kabal, followed by Miangul Abdul Wadud in 1917. Abdul Wadud and his son, Miangul Abdul Haq Jahanzeb, transformed Swat State socially, economically, and politically. Their focus on social developments significantly improved education, healthcare, and cultural services. This paper analyzes the social structures and institutions developed in the Nikpi Khail area from 1915 to 1969.
